I decided to give myself a break on the weekends. No worrying about organized exercise or avoiding naughty foods, catch up on sleep, be lazy, basically act as I have for the better part of the past decade or so.
But I over did it. As I do. As I have for the better part of the past decade or so, I guess. It was the girl’s birthday, but also pizza, candy and chocolate. 10am Diet Coke, 11pm cotton candy. You know, the usual.
Is this break thing a good idea? Will I always go to excess? That kind of negates the effort of the past week, doesn’t it?
Tomorrow is Monday, which means back at it. At least that was my intention a few hours ago. As it nears, the little voice in my head reminds me that it’s a long weekend, this is a holiday Monday. Which is still the weekend for all intents and purposes, right?
Yeah, that’s what I thought.
